Just west of I-15, Glendale’s suburban streets include several historic structures, such as the George Q. OKAY, FELLOW UTAHNS-Tell us, are you going to check this place out!? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Please tag me if you do.On the west side of Salt Lake City, Glendale is a lively neighborhood conveniently close to both downtown Salt Lake and the Salt Lake International Airport. The bugs didn’t bother us too bad though. I didn’t get bitten by anything, but there are swarms of gnats and most likely mosquitoes. I’ve been told that at other times, planes will use this strip for take off. THIS is the money spot! □ On this particular evening, planes were flying in from the south end of the valley and landing on the strip directly north. You will come to a sign that reads “Location Marker 17.” Keep walking past that and you’ll arrive at a bunch of light posts surrounded by chain link fences. Walk through the door and start heading east. □There is a sign with hours the path is open. East of the parking lot is a somewhat intimidating looking gate. You will take Exit 114 for Wright Brothers Drive, then turn right onto Wiley Post Way. From Salt Lake City, head west-bound on I-80. No gatekeeping here! Directions below□□ I’m all about sharing fun places to visit, BUT also feel the need to remind people that we need to always be respectful of these places, specifically focusing on the ⚠️ LEAVING NO TRACE BEHIND principle.
